Three cattle traders were shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Panchbhulat border in Benapole this morning.
The deceased were identified as Ahmed Ali, 24, Sabuj, 18, and Saddam Hossain, 22, all hailed from Panchbhulat village.
BDR sources said when the three cattle traders were returning home from India along with cattle BSF troops of Barnabaria camp opened fire on them, leaving them dead on the spot at about 4:00am.
BSF troops later took away the bodies to their camp.
A tense situation has been prevailing in the border areas following the incident.
