BSF gun down one more

Thakurgaon, Jun 14 (bdnews24.com ) — Ignoring calls from international human rights organisations, India's Border Security Force (BSF) have yet again shot a Bangladeshi national dead along the borders.

The deceased was identified as Faruque, 30, son of one Enamul Hoque, a resident of Choroigodi of Baliadanga upazila in the district.

Faruque, a cattle trader, received bullet in his abdomen on Thursday afternoon at Beurjhari border point when he was going to buy cows from India, said Maj Arif Shahriar of 20 Border Guard Battalion (BGB).

The injured Faruque managed to walk until he had reached Bangladesh from the Indian side.

Faruque succumbed to the bullet injury at Baliadanga Upazila Health Complex around 9pm, said Baliadanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hasan.
