BSF kills one in Jhenidah

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi cattle trader and injured five others along Maheshpur frontier in Jhenidah on Tuesday night.
The dead was identified as Md Rabiul Islam, 35, of Mathpara village in the upazila.
The identities of the injured could not be known immediately, reports our Jhenidah correspondent.
Subedar Ameer Khashru, company commander of Kushumpur camp of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said the BSF troops opened fires on a group of 10 to 12 cattle traders when they were returning with a consignment of cattle along Chapatala border in the upazila.
Rabiul died on the spot while five of his companions sustained injuries, he added.
